We have been lucky enough to take several trips this year. The first was to visit Tyra's brother Jason and his family in San Antonio!! We got to meet the newest edition to his family, little Kade, who was born on Christmas Day 2008. We enjoyed spending time with all of them and exploring San Antonio. Greg had a birthday while we were there too!
The Alamo!
There was this awesome tree within the Alamo grounds. Some of the branches were being held up by metal poles. We thought about asking what kind it is so that some day we could have one in our backyard. Such a good climbing tree!
The Riverwalk
Some of you may recognize this stage from the movie Miss Congeniality.
We took a tour through some Natural Caverns.........similar
to Carlsbad but had some unique differences.
We went on a wildlife safari drive. The ostrich and emu were very persistent, and hungry!
Visited Sea World
Tyra's brother Jason, wife Sarah, and kids Luke, Grace and Kade.
We all got to go to the Zoo together.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad to see the most important place first on your new blog. You are welcome any time. Jason
ReplyDeletecaleb would like to inform you that:
ReplyDeletethose trees are called cottonwoods, which is what 'alamo' means (in spanish, i guess!?).
it is only legend that the alamo was named after the trees. the alamo is actually on a nickname. the real name of the sight is the mission san antonio de valero.
i told him no one likes a know-it-all!
the colors are sooooooooooooo lovely and some must be breath taking in real time/real life. It is a beautiful spot, where you live.....just so far apart from each other. Amazing how all locations have their own beauty and gifts to be shared and to be amazed by. enjoyed the pix.
